Well shit.....

Who's got two thumbs and an intact Achilles? Not this guy.

So I was waiting for some non QB rape related story to come along in regards to the Steelers, and well, I got one. Willie Colon, the starting RT injured his Achilles and is most likely done for the year.

Just to recap for those playing along at home: Former Super Bowl MVP and your 1A/1B WR, traded. Your two time Super Bowl winning QB, suspended for the first four games. Now we're faced with whoever draws the short straw to start those games playing behind a line with their best player replaced by either your 1# pick (unlikely) or a rotation of substitute teachers. Oh did I mention of the two guys likely to be that starting QB, one's old as fuck and the other has all the mobility of the Tin Man before he found his oil can?

Jesus.

The guy picked up in the offseason, Jonathan Scott, is a guy who the Bills had last season and decided they didn't need his services anymore. Before that, he was cut by the Lions. The Lions, for chrissakes (sorry Neil)! The only other options the Steelers have is a guy who was inactive all last year, or a rookie free agent who basically saw mop up duty last year.

This season's quickly going from "we just need to hold it together until Ben comes back" to "are the Pirates playing today?".

Well, I guess it would never get that bad unless the Steelers had a Marshall University level disaster of a season, but the usual expectation of at least a playoff berth every season is in serious doubt right now.

Why couldn't Ben just have punched that broad in the face instead of having himself a roast beef sandwich? It seems like punching people isn't a suspendable offense in the new NFL.

Wait, did you guys get rid of Dennis Dixon? Say what you will about the guy, but I don't remember lack of mobility being a problem for him.

I still don't understand the Santonio Holmes trade.
